How to Add an IPTV Playlist on Firestick

Once you have installed an IPTV player application on your Amazon Firestick, the final step is linking your M3U playlist or Xtream Codes login. While visual layouts vary between different apps (such as TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, or XCIPTV), the setup procedure follows one of two universal methods.

Method A: Xtream Codes API (Recommended)

The Xtream Codes login method is by far the simplest and least prone to typing errors (see our M3U vs Xtream Codes comparison).

1. Open your chosen IPTV application on the Firestick.
2. Select Add Playlist or Add User.
3. Choose the option labelled Login with Xtream Codes API.
4. You will see four input fields:
   • Any Name: Enter a recognisable label (e.g. IPTVUKSmarters).
   • Username: Enter your assigned subscription username.
   • Password: Enter your assigned password (case-sensitive).
   • Server URL: Enter the provider's server address, including http:// and the port number (e.g. http://example.com:8080).
5. Click Add User or Login. The app will automatically fetch live channels, VOD libraries, and EPG schedules in one process.

Method B: M3U Playlist URL

If your provider supplied a single web address ending in .m3u or .m3u8:

1. Open your player app and select Add Playlist.
2. Choose M3U Playlist or Enter URL.
3. In the playlist URL field, type the complete link exactly as provided.
4. Pro Tip: Typing long web addresses with an on-screen remote is difficult. Download the free Amazon Fire TV App on your iOS or Android phone, connect it to your Firestick, and use your phone's clipboard to paste the URL directly into the field.
